He remained 25 years of age from 1959 until 1961. That's why his toombstone says 1936 instead of 1934. The toombstone was probably erected after the myth of 'Dreams' was constructed.(I have always maintained Ayres wasn't half as clever as he likes to think.)
But I want to know where he was between 1955 when he left Kenya and when he showed up in Hawaii with only enough money for two semesters...when he was forced to wash dishes to support himself, and how and why his fortunes changed - to the extent that he could afford a three month tour of the mainland before attending Harvard...and don't quote me Elizabeth Mooney Kirk...he shows on the INS docs the Laubach Society only contributed $1,000.
