I am not really sure what is wrong with Mitch Daniels. Two years ago, you would not have found a bigger Mitch Daniels booster in the United States than yours truly. He had bucked national trends to win an landslide re-election and was doing all the right things to demonstrate administrative competence, which is something our party badly needed to demonstrate after the last two years of the Bush administration. Then he started saying crap like this, courtesy of Jenn Rubin...

No, I use it on other boards. You must be invariably polite, and Mr. Nice Guy, and eventually you can get the Inner Conservative "true self" to reveal itself.
Then, you can come here to FR and "release your anxieties".
Anyone know Mitch' Freeper Name?
Think of it like him being on a really big teleprompter!
You should learn to use the terms correctly.
Break out the FUMD.
What a terrible speaker.
I’m not nearly as up to speed on Dainiels as I should be.
Can anyone give his “top 10’s”— top 10 assests & top 10 liabilities?
Wanna put money on it?
Thank you so much for saying this. There is zero reason why we should pay any attention to these clowns the party hacks keep propping up. They are throwing RINOs up against a wall to see which ones stick. They are not conservatives and we should not be giving them the time of day. Let the elites, and hacks choose their favorite RINO themselves without our help.
We should be spending our time and effort focused on the real conservatives in the race. We have no time to waste on these RINOs. Every minute we spend on these bogus conservatives takes time away from our real candidates. Bachmann and Cain need the exposure. Palin certainly deserves our support. We should stop wasting word of mouth time on the RINOs and devote ourselves to spreading the word about conservative candidates.
He may lean conservative, but he is following in the footsteps of GHW Bush & Bob Dole--trying to build a GOP coalition that ignores core values.
That's a tactic for getting elected, but it works against actually accomplishing anything once you get elected (of course, Dole proved it's not even a good strategy for getting elected).
I thought the Big Tent Republican idea was dead, but apparently (like a zombie) it won't stay buried, despiete the fact that it is rotten and stinks.
There are a large number of Mitchbots on this forum; and, it’s surprising that, so far, they aren’t nattering their support for little Mitch.
I would put thousands on the fact they won’t win in a landslide. I’m not sure I consider ‘08 a landslide and that’s about as lopsided as a Presidential election can get these days. There are too many states that will go a certain party no matter who the candidates are. For the record, I consider 400 electoral votes the benchmark for a landslide.
Actually, I’m not surprised at all they haven’t showed up on this one. Or, maybe they’ve finally figured it out.
You're kidding, right? This is FR, where apparently one need only consult one's FEEEEEEEEELINGS, and to hell with facts and checking things out for one's self.
One can only hope that the inanity on display by many posters on this site does not represent the actual state of conservatism in America.
Checking in, Eddie. Did you listen to what Daniels actually says in the video? Or are you just trusting somebody else to do your thinking for you ... again?
Checking in Orbie — and yes, I listened to the video, and I heard it also on radio in parts, AND I know the mission statement of the organization he was addressing.
Daniels has been a decent governor but he’s quick to throw conservatives overboard in the arena of ideas. Yes, I know its strange for someone to walk the walk better than they talk the talk, but that’s Mitch. Problem is, talking the talk is absolutely critical in this day and age. CRITICAL.
1. The video doesn't say anything close to what the poster implied. He lied.
2. You -- who claim that you knew of its actual contents -- went along with it. You're no better than the original poster.
And then you have the gall to talk about "walking the walk." Hell, man, you can't even talk the talk.
thats very brave...
I will bet you $trillions that Obama does not get 500 electoral votes
