I disagree, Newt brings many good ideas to the race and he is a smart guy, he will elevate the conversation and has, already, challenged Obama on many issue that other people will not or have not, brought up. I still like Reagan’s advice about not knocking our own, stop the nasties and start listening to common sense, Newt has much to offer and I will wait to see how he does. I haven’t decided who the best candidate is but I am not closed-minded and childish. Let’s support all our candidates, listen to their ideas and then support whomever we believe will represent our conservative ideals. Fortunately, we have many, many great candidates out there, from Palin to Romney and Paul to Bachman and even the outspoken Trump.

The fact is Gingrich has been around a long time and engenders practically no enthusiasm from anybody. Some candidates inspire. Reagan, to pick the best example, got many conservatives juices flowing. I’d love to have voted for Barry Goldwater. But Gingrich inspires practically nobody. That’s the sad facts. I like Sarah Palin, but it’s not like it has to be her or I’m not voting. Just saying Newt has a high unlikability quotient and a bland personality that is working against him. A lot of people don’t like Palin, but there a lot of people who will work very hard to get her elected. I doubt the same can be said for Newt.
