Holder will insist he be tried in Federal Court and then provide him with a lawyer smarter than the fed prosecutor (not a difficult task), thereby guarantying him to get a not guilty. He will then be given US citizenship for his trouble.

As with current US-Mexican policy, if he was extradited from Mexico, the US has a policy of removing the death penalty from cases of this type prior to Mexico relinquishing custody. I’ve had two cases where both the State and the Fed’s had to provide written motions to the courts removing any death penalty sanction prior to Mexico extraditing the suspect.
