Why are you so sure of this? Maybe you're missing something crucial here. Maybe the ones that are crossing the lines ARE being zotted, and the rest are being allowed time to clean up their act.
Had you thought of that?
Or maybe something else is going on.
Hmmmm.....
That's ridiculous. Nobody's cleaning up any acts...it's just getting worse. The excerpts are nothing more than teasers, and the threads stand for days, so there's no way they escaped the Mods' attention. Jim may say it's not OK, but the inaction of the Mods says otherwise.
Hmmmmmm.
Wow. You're right. Free Republic is the center of the universe, and posting here is THE measure of quality.
Do they imagine that Free Republic is a blog hit farm?
Do you?
We've had this conversation. How many times do you want the same answer? I don't have a gun to anyone's head. If I'm violating a policy, cite it. If you don't want to click on a link, don't.
See? Was that hard? Why not start with this?
I just had a really weird idea. What do you think: Post the words [Blog Excerpt] in the title of your screeds, which are many, and see how many people click in then.
What do you say? A little truth in titling work for you? Transparency, anybody?
I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog, but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR. (Emphasis added by me)
Post the blog in its entirety. No excerpts for the purpose of driving traffic to your blog, which is what you do.
Aside: Ft Worth rocks!
If they are worth reading they should post their stuff here.I thought the compliant was about abuse.Do they imagine that Free Republic is a blog hit farm?
Do you?
So using Free Republic as a "blog hit farm" does not constitute abuse.
Thanks for the clarification.
I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, even as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog.
Regardless, my freedom of choice is preserved. That's good enough for me.
But then, this site is not my property.
Also from that link:
Furthermore, Im not big on rules. You wont see me posting rules for bloggers.
I'm not sure how anyone can be expected to yield to a sentiment which is not conveyed. The moment a moderator, admin, or the site owner conveys their wishes, I abide. Up until now, the only complaints have been from a minuscule minority of fellow users whose purview ends at their decision to click or pass.
