The European Media Reacts to Death of Osama Bin Laden
Pajamas media ^ | 5/5/2011 | Soeren Kern

Leading newspapers and magazines in Europe have provided saturation coverage of the death of Osama bin Laden. Although initial media reaction in Europe was overwhelmingly supportive of the American commando operation, media outlets in many countries quickly regained their composure and anti-Americanism has now returned as their default position.

European media, almost without exception, have focused particular attention on the news that bin Laden was not armed when he was killed by American operatives. Many Europeans have criticized what they describe as America’s “wild-west” concept of justice. Dozens of European newspapers have published lengthy philosophical essays by sundry intellectuals that examine the morality of bin Laden’s killing. Many argue that bin Laden should have been tried in a court of law.

In a reflection of the acute sense of moral superiority that is so common in contemporary Europe, secular analysts who are normally highly disdainful of Judeo-Christian moral codes have gone so far as to accuse the United States of violating the Fifth Commandment, without a hint of irony.

This is a great article showing how the European left views OBL's take down. Does anyone doubt this would be the view in our MSM if this had happened under W's watch instead of Obama's? What media bias?

Maybe these insufferable a-holes need to view once again the films of the World Trade Towers burning, with helpless civilians calling for help, only to be incinerated alive and others jumping to their deaths to escape the flames.

They don’t like what we did? Eff ‘em.

Just the thought of obammy trying to sit a horse cracks me up!

Most of Europe is being overrun by Islamists. They are too scared to announce that OBL’s take was a good thing..............

They don’t like Cowboys and Muslims, they don’t have to play. Give ‘em another 10-20 years, they will be begging us to play on their home turf.

The humorous thing is how poorly this administration has done in their efforts to show Bambi as the great victor. Their ineptitude in the PR aftermath of the take down has been on display for all to see and I'm loving it.

Actually, I agree with them.

As it is now, what do we have?

We have the word of the Kenyan King that BL is dead.

I don't trust anything the Kenyan King says about anything. Period.

I wish we had BL in court, where we could all see him for ourselves.

The Zerobama administration has controlled the narrative since the raid, using the keyword, “JUSTICE”...in other words, this was a Police Action.., not a fire-fight in an on-going war. They are totally responsible for the negative press by using the term, JUSTICE, instead of their normal metaphor of a Kinetic Military Action... They brought this “wild-west cowboy justice”reputation on themselves.

He (Obama) invaded a country with which we are not at war, killed a number of individuals, only one of whom was armed, and murdered a crime suspect without a hearing or even reading him his rights. He is a war criminal.

OOPS! That would have been if McCain had won the election. Never mind!

I wish someone would photoshop a picture of Obama tethered to an anchor bobbing in the depths of the Indian Ocean.
