The reporter from the Washington Times didn’t bring up the time travel stuff. It was the interviewer who spoke about that.

“The reporter from the Washington Times didn’t bring up the time travel stuff. It was the interviewer who spoke about that.”

However, he did pen the following:

“I believe NASA is planning to send humans to Mars on a one-way ticket as an insurance policy for the human race’s survival in this solar system. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be enough time for this somewhat desperate contingency plan.”
-Robert Stanley

Mr. Stanley is a crackpot.

The reporter who runs a website detailing how NASA plans to change the earth's orbit to prevent a massive catastrophe? Perhaps the same reporter who writes about the first alien encounters in Washington DC?

Oh, right, it's just the interviewer who's nuts. Feel free to Google 'Robert M Stanley'.

Regardless, Stanley is a kook. That’s the point.
