He’s saying it fake because of the “multiple layers”. But I recall reading a FR post recently stating that when a .pdf document is scanned, multiple layers are the norm.

I know virtually nothing about how this works so I’ll let anyone who has the technical expertise for this subject post a comment.

The obfuscators claim that OCR caused the layers, but it didn’t. OCR created characters, not layers. If OCR occured, one would be able to do a text search onthe doc. I tried, there is nothing searchable about that PDF the White House released.

Yes, scan to PDF when it's opened in Illustrator. I've duplicated this myself. The layers theory has been quite thoroughly debunked.

Check out the scanned AP posting of the BC in the video. That also should have been what the White house received from Hawaii. The video also shows the idiotic mistakes without even reading it or going into the layers.

Usually one scans paper documents, not ".pdf documents", as you state, unless you mean scanning a printed version of a .pdf document. The question we should ask is, when Obama's people scanned the (alleged) certified paper copy of the BC that the DOH people sent to him, are multiple layers normal in the resulting .pdf?

I don't know....yet. I have seen numerous different YouTube clips that show varying manipulations of the WH (green) document using Adobe and other products. From what I can see, there are legitimate and opposing views from all this activity.

It's early yet. Give it a week or two. After all, it took months before there was true consensus on Obama's "Certification" document.

no, multiple layers are NOT “the morm” when you scan a document

You can MAKE it create multiple layers, but you have to set it up that way. And even then it will not make layers like the ones we see in Obambi’s copy, which should have been a simple copy machine copy... like you or I can get.

Let one of these people who think layers are normal PROVE IT- print and then scan the BC obambi supplied, and see if you can make the same ‘layers’
