In the original release of the “announcements” it is noticed that all the “birth” announcement were identical, both in names and order printed in the two “different” newspapers.

So what my friend did was examine the microfiche that contained the “announcement and found that the only time this identical match occurred was on the day the Obama’s announcement was “printed.”

So the only conclusion would be that somehow the microfiche was tampered with and these announcements were made on one and copied to the other one.

Butter and or Lady can give you links to more in-depth research.

Here is the link Greg.

http://myveryownpointofview.wordpress.com/2010/05/28/extra-extra-announcing-obamas-birth

I eventually made it through the full two month’s worth of announcements that I had collected, and also the announcements from Jan. 15, 1961 through Feb 29, 1961, and didn’t find that same pattern occurred in that time frame either. It only occurred on the dates that had the obama announcements. While one list was longer than the other, both lists begin with the same name, and both lists ran the names in exact descending order. The pictures that were first posted ( before my “research”) never showed that one paper did have a longer list.

So, although the Star Bulletin does not have a 100% match (it is 43.9%, reason: there were only 25 announcements total in the Honolulu. Adv.) THE HONOLULU ADVERTISER, HAS A 100% MATCH TO THE 8/14/61 STAR BULLETIN, in the same descending order. This is the one and only time this occurred in the two month sample range. Remember that the first obama birth announcement was found in the HONOLULU ADVERTISER. On a few other dates, there is a full match, but not in exact order. And those are not located in the same place within the column of announcements.

The explanation I read earlier elsewhere was that both papers used the same print facility and address. So it was reported to one point for both newspapers at the time.
