Is the Weather being used to destroy America’s economy?
Creating Orwellian Worldview ^ | 4/29/11 | Alaphiah

What if there never was Global warming, what if it has always been Global Weather Warfare? Recent super tornados dubbed “Killer Tornadoes” have cut a swath across seven southern states of the United States. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia,East Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Virginia all have been hit by abnormally sized and super strengthened tornadoes costing nearly 300 lives and estimates of billions of dollars of property damage. (see here, here and here)

But what if these recent tornadoes and hurricane Katrina in 2005 were not simply capricious acts of nature, what if these devastating destructive acts were the surgical strikes of al Qaeda or another enemy of the United States of America. An enemy with money and technology to control the weather and what’s more, use those resources against it’s enemy the United States of America.

Look, I can conspiracy theorist with the best of them.

I think gas prices are being fixed, I don’t trust the government to not monitor us through RFID chips, store cards tracking our purchases, GPS devices installed on new cars.

But I am not a Holocaust denier, I do not believe our own government was responsible for 9/11, I do not accept the global warming/cooling paranoia de jour, and I do not believe that we have the technology to control or change the weather.

The amount of energy involved and the orders of magnitude involved and the randomness and chaos involved preclude it.

There are too many unknowns about the weather, period.

The air thins as you go up. There’s not enough atmosphere to mess with up there to make a difference in the lower parts of the atmosphere where the weather occurs, no matter how much you mess with it.

Sheesh, by this kind of reasoning, The Day After Tomorrow was serious prophecy. (Worse science in a movie I’ve never seen)

“Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves. So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations. It’s real, and that’s the reason why we have to intensify our efforts.”

Defense Sec. William Cohen in 1994

The US has made plenty of progress in the generation and use of electromanetic waves since Mr. Cohen made this statement in 1994. Same with Russia and China.

I have no idea why some people can’t seem to research it for themselves and admit it. Maybe it is too scarey to think they could be under attack by man made weather systems or manufactured earth quakes. Maybe it’s too unsettling to consider that violent storms are not always natural or an “act of God.” They could be an act of the DOD, Israel, Ruskies or Chi-coms.

One thing we know is not beyond the US government. They have been known to test their ideas on Americans. It would not surprise me if they would test their electromagnetic wave weapons on the US or say, Haiti. The same with the Chi-coms and Russians and probably other Nations, too.

I know Tesla did some really interesting and strange stuff that nobody has been able to repeat.

But I’m still not buying the controlling weather stuff.

HARRP uses a focused beam not, throwing it into the entire atmosphere.

Focused on WHAT? The atmosphere?

The atmosphere is a fluid in a constant state of flux. You can't concentrate energy into a fluid like you can with a solid.

Convection dissipates it to easily.

OK, then take *weather control* completely out of the picture.

What are they really trying to do with HARRP?

Gee, maybe go to Google and see what is said about it?

Wike HAARP entry

Ever notice how after dark you can pick up AM radio stations from far away? That is one of the kind of effects they are studying with HAARP, among others. There are many practical potential civilian and/or military applications in communications and remote sensing that could come from HAARP research.

The amount of energy involved and the orders of magnitude involved and the randomness and chaos involved preclude it.

On another thread some were presenting the theory that a New Madrid quake could split the central US. Same kind of barrier to that theory as you presented here - the amount of energy involved is several orders of magnitude below any earthquake we've observed or have noted in the historical record.

Of course, the conspiracy theorists will say we are unwilling to research the claims for whatever reason. But the opposite is actually true - we did our research long ago, in the form of being educated in the underlying science, and realize that such claims simply fly in the face of the physics required for such actions.

Of course, the conspiracy theorists then just denigrate the science without offering anything rigorous of their own to replace it. A Youtube video is no replacement for decades of scientists doing rigorous scientific-method-based work to formulate theories (note that my qualifier for work precludes global warming theorizing as it fails at the scientific method level as badly as these conspiracy theories).

Are any gains being made through physics and science to explain how life began?

"Are any gains being made through physics and science to explain how life began?"

BTTT ...You decide:

"...Indeed the fall is inevitable in such a case -- which, I think, is the deeper meaning of today's aphorism: Why deceive ourselves? Science has not answered a single important question.

The point is that science can only answer important questions if it isn't divorced from reality in the fuller sense. In isolation -- in particular, from the vertical -- it is axiomatic that science cannot answer important questions, for only the mature soul (who ipso facto eludes any scientific explanation) knows what is important. This is called judgment.

HERE

<>

"It is terribly naive to say that science (especially modern science) deals with the "real world." It actually begins with the ponderable world -- the everyday world of the senses -- but eventually creates a wholly abstract world that is taken to be more "real" than the ponderable world. (Importantly, it also begins with certain implicit religious assumptions purloined from the Real, such as the idea of an intelligible cosmos that can be comprehended by rational observers,....) ... Suffice it so say that revelation deals with the Real world, not the abstract world of science or the ponderable world of everyday existence. (To be perfectly accurate, it also has has to do with the dependence of the ponderable upon the Real, or their intersection;we are not dependent upon physics, but upon the Creator who created physics.)"

The Abstract, the Ponderable, and the Real

<>

"Without a doubt, the ultimate Black Swan is whatever it was that permitted merely genetic human beings to emerge into full humanness just yesterday (cosmically speaking), some 50,000 years ago.

Prior to this there was existence, but so what? There was life, but who cares? With no one to consciously experience it, what was the point? Without self-conscious observers, the whole cosmos could bang into being and contract into nothingness, and it would be no different than the proverbial tree falling in the forest with no one there to hear it.

One of the reasons why this is such a lonely and unpopular blog is that it takes both science and religion seriously. Most science and religion are unserious, but especially -- one might say intrinsically -- when they exclude each other.

A religion that cannot encompass science is not worthy the name, while a science that cannot be reconciled with religion is not fit for human beings. And I mean this literally, in that it will be a science that applies to a different species, not the one that is made to know love, truth, beauty, existence, and the Absolute. Science must begin and end in this principle -- which is to say, the Principle -- or it is just a diversion. ...."

Apparently, since the government lies to us, I can make up any crazy story and say, "The government is lying to us about aliens controlling the weather with the help of HAARP, the Illuminati and a collection of bridge trolls!"

And the, there's a big "Planet X" headed our way, and the ET's living on it are going to destroy our planet and conquer us all, and that's the beginning of Armageddon!

And if you don't agree with me, you must be one of the government trolls, sent to spread disinformation!

And just what does that have to do with the subject of this thread?

I just want lurkers to think outside the box.

Fringe on FOX was neat last night. Walter is a type of God the Father, Peter is a type of God the Son and Olivia is a type of the bride of Christ, the Church, She held the key.

That’s what I was getting at - the fact that the government lied about nuclear test safety in the 1950s does not therefore make HAARP conspiracy claims true.

I just want lurkers to think outside the box.

Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box. Plate tectonics was thinking outside the box. But it went through rigourous evaluation and new evidence was found (such as ocean floor paleomagnatism) to support the new theory.

However, mankind simply cannot produce and direct the kind of power required to alter weather in any significant manner. As metmom noted, the idea of detonating an H-bomb to disrupt a hurricane was debated and discarded because the energy of the H-bomb would be dwarfed by that of the hurricane - and the H-bomb is the most energetic device ever devised by man. Certain theories fail at their very foundations, and HAARP being used for weather control is one of those.

And I would also challenge anyone to find posts where metmom, airborne and myself have professed any kind of underlying faith in the nature of the federal government for honesty and veracity. One being a skeptic of a half-baked conspiracy theory does not in turn make them a believer in the veracity of the federal government. To me, the government has to prove it is being forthright and honest with everything they do, a standard they more often than not fail to achieve. But, then again, the conspiracy mongers have to be held a similar standard as well - because I cannot prove a negative. The conspiracy mongers are the ones asserting a positive, but their claims fail at fundamental levels.

“Crazy as it sounds, there’s a Freeper group who completely agrees - and then some! Apparently, ET’s, the Illuminati and HAARP wielding government types are conspiring to destroy the world. Or preparing for the coming comet that ushers in the Apocalypse. Or both. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2687394/posts “ ~ airborn

Proving that hysterical fundamentalist end-times “prophets of doom” on the Right and the Left are merely flip-sides of the same “fundie” extremist coin. bttt

NY Times Friday 11 March 2005:
http://www.truthout.org/cgi-bin/artman/exec/view.c...

“.. Mr. Cizik said he had a “conversion” on climate change so profound in Oxford that he likened it to an “altar call,” when nonbelievers accept Jesus as their savior. Mr. Cizik recently bought a Toyota Prius, a hybrid vehicle. “ Richard Cizik is the Vice president of governmental affairs for the National Association of Evangelicals

Oct. 2006:

“..Cizik dates his “conversion” to 2002, when evangelical left activist Jim Ball of the “What Would Jesus Drive” anti-SUV campaign “dragged” him to Oxford, England, for a global warming summit featuring scientist and Christian thinker John Houghton. “I had, as John Wesley would say, a ‘warming of my heart,’ Cizik recalls. “A conversion to a cause which I believe every Christian should be committed to.”

After his Oxford conversion, Cizik returned home, sold his gas guzzler, bought a Prius, and renewed his interest in recycling. He notes that evangelicals comprise 40-50 percent of the “Republican base” and Republican politicians, who “have stymied action on climate change, will “have to listen” if evangelicals become as passionate as Cizik is about climate change.

Promoters of The Great Warming are hoping that other evangelicals will have dramatic conversions to the global warming cause like Cizik. No doubt, many of these new enthusiasts for the planet are full of passionate sincerity. But some seem to see acceptance of disastrous scenarios of global warming, fueled exclusively by human activity, as almost an article of faith, transcending need for logical argument. For them, it has become intrinsically a struggle between noble friends of the earth and wicked allies of the fossil fuels industry. They have adopted climate activism as a new crusade.

Evangelicals are more famous, or notorious, for preaching about the impending End Times. At least that old kind of preaching pointed listeners towards repentance...and God. This new mode of climate revivalism points evangelicals towards a very differently kind of imagined apocalypse, in which the solution is not divine intervention but increased government regulation, reduced standards of living, diminished national sovereignty, and enhanced powers for international bureaucracies. That Old Time Religion now looks more appealing, because it involves God.
