The citizenship of Obamas alleged father is irrelevant. Its a sadly established fact that two illegal aliens can sneak into this country and have a kid and the kid is instantly a US citizen. That said, if Obamas dad were Kenyan and his mom were French and Obama were born in Hawaii then hed still be a US citizen. True (sorta) today but was the 14th amendment given that interpretation in 1961? If the accepted usage at the time was that it applied only to the newly freed slaves after the Civil War and was subject to a broader interpretation at a later date does the "broader interpretation" apply retroactively?
Murky waters ahead...

You almost had me there; citizen he may very well be, but not "natural born" citizen. 14th amendment be damned. Nice try though...
