Why didn't the hospitals have the birth announcement posted on the day of the birth? Answer: It took that amount of time for Stanley Ann to get out of Kenya and back to Seattle where it was cheaper to communicate the birth information to her mother (either by phone or wire).

A little plot hole in your theory - the Nordyke twins were also later - Aug. 16 Image here

But, very interesting she shows up in Seattle? Kind of like she was getting away from the Obama's father. Why?

The plot thickens. Do you suppose the Nordyke twins were born in a private physician’s office? Here is some info I found about Robert A. Nordyke: Robert A Nordyke in Honolulu, HI is a private company categorized under Physicians’ Office, Including Specialists. Current estimates show this company has an annual revenue of 280,000 and employs a staff of approximately 5.

If that is true, then they would have reported the birth announcement by going in to the local Department of Health to file the birth information. The filing of that information may have been taken a little time.

I noticed other announcements, and they are also days earlier than the publishing date. Since these newspapers were both daily papers, I have only theory telling me that many births were done at home in Hawaii in the ‘50s and ‘60s. If that is true, than it shows that birth announcements were not filed in much hurry in those days. I have seen the announcements from both newspapers and each entry is in the same sequence in both. That tells me that it was the Dept. of Health that sent the information to both newspapers each day as the information was filed each day.

Oh am I bad! The Nordyke twins were born in Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital. My theory about a home birth for the Nordyke twins is wrong. I can’t believe I didn’t look closer at the birth certificate for this thread. I wonder if Robert Nordyke, listed as a doctor, did the delivery?
