No, the communion isn’t replaced, the day of the communion is what the pagans succeeded in replacing. The date of every communion referenced in the NT is the Passover, which mostly is a mid-week sabbath, although rarely it will fall on what was for the original Christians, the first day of the work week: Sunday.
