I’ll be celebrating the resurrection, as I do every first day of the week, by taking communion with my fellow believers.

Easter is, indeed, a man-made holiday, but it’s more legit than Christmas in that it does fall near the Passover, which is when Christ was crucified and resurrected. No harm in recognizing that, but there is hypocrisy in the many who proclaim their faith only two times a year.

In parlance they´re ¨C and E´ers¨ who show up only on Christmas and Easter and take all the best seats or pews.

Same here, though I think early Christians in celebrating the Lord’s Supper associated it primarily with Christ’s death. Of course, we know the grave couldn’t hold Him and that the Father resurrected Him on the third day. Hallelujah!

Think of it as two easy times each year to reach out to the lost...

Sunrise service tomorrow at 5:30, regular worship at 1100.

Were it not for having two enjoyable holidays to remind them of Christ, many would neglect to proclaim their faith ANY days of the year. Those who demand "perfection or nothing" must be prepared to accept nothing. At least it gives children memories which associate enjoyable times with Christianity.
