Ya, MAN! I drove down to Scottsdale from the Grand Canyon at night in a blizzard. Two eighteeen wheelers saved me probably from certain death. One got in front and one behind and took me all the way down. I have never been so scared in my life.

Ah, you do have more slippery ice there, at times--not as dry. I run on Hankook, Winter I-Pike tires with studs (directional treads). Yeah, I know, they're Korean, but they're the best that I've ever run on ice and snow over passes. ...also great for stability on 4WDs with limited slip or locking rear ends. Maybe they'll work well up there, too, if the law there allows studs. And they're cheap.

It's snowing here now.
