"Unless theres a real threat to you, leaving your safe, stocked, defensible home...its not the smartest thing to do." I agree as well.
I have one problem though. I have prepared for almost every contigency on the home defense front should TSHTF except for one; Fire.
An 'undesirable' who wishes to force me out could simply lob a Molotov cocktail at my abode and I would be powerless to address that. If I leave the house to extinguish the fire, I could be shot...or worse. I have yet to develop a viable defense against that other than eliminating all possible threats from long range...which is less than an ideal solution.

Don’t let them get close enough is your only hope. Good luck.

...laminated glass windows (not only tempered), rock veneer, fireproof gypsum, other fire-resistant materials (especially under eaves), auto-extinguishers (see racing equipment),... There's much to do, but it's not hard to save money for and do remodeling/repair projects one at a time. Study codes and pull permits when needed. Avoid debt for those. ...hope that helps.

You can make your home approach a very
miserable place for a wrong doer. Check out the rest of the site at the link. Hope this gives you further ideas.

I also have fire retardant tarps.
There are some old strip mines a few miles from here where people dump old appliances, refridgerators, stoves, etc. Scavenge and get what you can to cover windows and vulnerable spots. (old oven doors, fridge doors, etc. Flat sections of heavy metal.) If you have a storage shed, keep stuff there until you need it. If you don’t have anywhere to store it, stack it and cover with tarp somewhere it isn’t unsightly.
Sounds crazy but it works. Firewalls from woodburners and fireplaces work too.
