Levin quotes from that, and Levin reams him for his two faced opportunistic positions with Trump's own earlier pronouncements. Listen, you'll learn something, I know I did.

I don't know that Trump intends to skew the election for the purposes of re-electing Obama and getting some kind of big payoff for himself. But... if he does not get the Republican nomination he has already made it clear that his ego would lead him to strongly consider a third-party effort.

A serious third party would have to be so attractive to independents, disaffected Republicans and disaffected Democrats that both major parties would lose significant share. I doubt that will ever occur based on the birth certificate issue.

The one possibility might be that somehow incontrovertible evidence of Obama's lack of citizenship coupled with incontrovertible evidence that the most powerful members of BOTH parties knew of the evidence, did nothing about it and consciously and actively aided and abetted the fraud. We are not going to see that.

Even if we did see that come to pass, it will still require real positions on real issues to turn the electorate to a third party.

I agree with your post and it's worth repeating:

I would say yes, does he think in order to stop him one has to side with the republicans...obvious he does. But if in office would he then resort back to his former stance....well, most do once they’ve achieved their goal. So Trump wpuld certainly be a huge risk as Pres. IMO.

Still I root for his taking Bo to the mat now...enjoying the show

“Some Christians still have a problem with St. Paul ~ which is to say Trump will always be a problem, but for the moment he’s doing the Lord’s Own Work!”

St Paul didn't have three wives and plenty of girlfriends on the side. Trump doing the Lord's Own Work? I hope you're joking.

This Man-crush for no other reason other than him being a birther, is about the silliest damn thing I have seen in Politics in all my life.

That's all we seem to get anymore is teen crushes. For Fred Thompson. For Mrs. Palin. And now for Trump. We are a foolish people, and we're getting what we deserve. As old H.L. Mencken once said:

"Democracy is the theory that the people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."

People have epiphanies you know? I think Trump sees clearly the total destruction of our economic systems by a gang of communists and it has swung him to the right. Maybe some conservatives are way too judgmental of the past??

DONALD TRUMP donates $50,000 to RAHM EMANUEL campaign for Mayor in Chicago

Democrats and Republicans sitting in a tree...

K I S S I N G

[link to www.nytimes.com]

“Illinois law placed no limits on political contributions until Jan. 1, and Emanuel made the most of the opportunity. He collected more than 70 contributions of $50,000 or more, accounting for roughly half the $10.5 million he raised by the end of last year. Those contributions alone were more than was raised by all of the other mayoral candidates combined.

Many of his biggest contributors live outside Chicago. He received large checks from New York (the financiers Roger Altman, Ronald Perelman and Donald Trump each gave $50,000); Silicon Valley ($50,000 from Steve Jobs); and especially Southern California, where Emanuel’s brother, Ari, a powerful Hollywood agent, raised money on his behalf. David Geffen gave $100,000, Steven Spielberg $75,000.”

“The left is going to use this issue to smack us right in the face, we need to be smarter than this.”

I often tune into Leftist radio to see what the other side is saying - and you hit it dead on. They are excited about taking on Trump if he is nominated, and they are holding back all of what they have on him until after the nomination. And then look out. The bashing of Palin and Bush is nothing compared to what they plan for Trump. He won't stand a chance.

Hmm, the polygamy of the Patriarchs means we should ignore their lessons?

Don't be silly.

Besides, Trump is having his wives one at a time, right?

I forgot to mention Christine O’Donnell. If the Tea Party really is willing to rally around the likes of O’Donnell or Trump, then the Tea Party should be renamed the silly party.

Up until recently, I listened to Levin and still do appreciate his patriotic views. The problem with Mark that has stuck in my mind, was his Jan 17, 2010 show in which he belittled anyone that questioned the eligibility of obama. He stated “of course he is eligible”. When using www.waybackmachine.com - I noticed that the podcast has been scrubbed. Been that way since right after he made those remarks. He is a great constitutional lawyer, but has obviously had a “talking to” about promoting the obvious fact that O was NEVER eligible (if his nativity story is somewhat true), because of the the admitted FACT that BO Sr. was never a citizen of this country. Levin of course knows this, as any 10 year old kid would know if after 10 minutes of explanation of that portion of our Constitution. ALL the TV and Radio Talking Heads know the truth, but for one reason or another stay away or lie about the issue in a way that Dracula would refuse to soak his bod in Holy Water after a long night of stalking. Trump is different and unafraid (to this point anyway). Say what you want, (not speaking directly to you Lakeshark), but you do have to admit, (unless you are here as a Lefty in Conservative clothing) he does have a PAIR, unlike anyone else out there with clout and power!

Listen to what Levin says. The man donated to hard left liberals for the most part, did not donate to any conservatives, and did not donate to any TEA party activities.

I'm a business man and I don't donate to democrats. I donate to what I believe in.

Levin is correct. Trump is no conservative. He’s more or a populist who can blow this way or that with the wind.

The one contribution Trump is making to public discourse is to call out Oblunder on his secrecy. It was only a few years ago that all the reporters would demand that a candidate divulge everything—tax records, assets held in trust, health records, etc.—because the public “has the right to know.”

Now the Main Stream Media participates in Oblunder’s cover-up by not only not conducting a real investigation of his birth circumstances, college records, passport information, etc., but of ridiculing anyone who brings the subject up.

Trump is the only person with a national stage who has been willing to demand proof from Oblunder.

I applaud Trump for that but I would not vote for him.

I understand that people have epiphanies. Do you understand that Trump's finest quality is as a great deal maker and marketer and he might only be saying what he needs to close this deal (aka the nomination)?

Listen to who he has been, Levin trots it out for all to see, it's quite damning.
