Newspeak is from the book "1984" that was required reading when I was in 9th grade as a warning to us about the dangers of socialism and super-sized government. That was in the early 60's but now "1984" has gone from required reading to forbidden knowledge. The youngsters of today know not of which we speak and that is juat how the so-called progressives want it.

It's still read. So is Atlas Shrugged. Those are some of my daughter's favorite books. She just graduated last year and is going to law school this fall.

She won't watch television, at all.
