Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies.......eat meat sparingly. And do not eat processed foods. Eat organic as much as possible. Do not OVEREAT! It’s simple. Why does everyone make it so hard?

I know of a guy that never ate a piece of meat in his life, ever. He worked out, ran marathons, was a total vegan from birth, stayed away from anything not organic his entire life; was raised by hippies on a commune…and dropped dead of a massive coronary at the age of 40. Dead as a doornail. No warning signs. Not kidding. This guy was the extreme of organic, began, “natural” life. One problem: He never saw a doctor. Never. Went to “holistic” medicine men instead. He never had his blood pressure checked nor had any blood work done that could have told him of the issue that he genetically had.

The point is that genetics plays a significant role in everyone’s life. Any doctor will tell you that healthy eating, exercise, and seeing your doctor for routine checkups are all important players to a healthy life. I’ve never had a doctor tell me to stay away from anything not “organic”, or to stop eating meats, or to even stop drinking.

I’m type A and I’ll about die without a good steady dose of meat protein.

I try to keep the protein, carbs, and fat in equal proportion. I also drink lots of water and eat tons of vegetables - organically raised and well fertilized - from the garden. I do that for the vitamins, the lack of chemicals, and the taste. Store bought produce is 90% of the time just nasty.

I got some weight on me but not much, maybe 25 pounds, alot of which disappears in the summer (the double benefit of gardening). Arteries are clean and everything is in good shape.

“I believe it is important to supplement our food to ensure our bodies have the nutrition required to remain healthy.

Seriously - just eat FOOD. That’s what it’s there for. To EAT.
