President Barack Obama's sister thinks the birther movement is "unfortunate."
"I think it's unfortunate. He was born in Hawaii, there is a tremendous amount of proof that has already been presented," Maya Soetoro-Ng told CNN's Piers Morgan in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday. "I think that it is time for people to put that to bed, put it to rest completely."
And what about real estate mogul Donald Trump's repeated calls for the president to produce his birth certificate?
"Well, I think it's a shame and I think that my brother should definitely be president for a second term," Soetoro-Ng said. "And that's really all I have to say about it."
Trump, star of "Celebrity Apprentice," has made a second career out of questioning the president's birthplace, most recently on CNN's "State of the Union."
In 2008, the Obama campaign released a copy of the certificate, saying the serial number was blacked out for concern over Hawaiian procedure. Since then, many news organizations and the Annenberg Fact Check Project saw the original with the serial number, an embossed seal and a stamped signature....

If Annenberg has anything to do with Obama, it was for the Annenberg challenge from 1995-1999. That was the group where Bill Ayers was also on the board.
Poor President Obama. He is so scared, so cowardly to speak up for himself when it comes to this Trump long form birth certificate controversy that he has to start dragging his friends, his no-name close advisers, and now his little SISTER to try to stop this tsunami tidal wave named Trump, a tidal wave that is threatening to overwhelm the Obama camp with all kinds of serious trouble during the upcoming very long 2012 presidential campaign.
To me, when a man---in this case, the President of the United States---has to get his little SISTER to come out of hiding to fight his fights because he is too scared to fight for himself, that man deserves our pity, because such a man is a coward and a wimp.
1. I wonder who Obama will call on next to try to defend Obama by ridiculing and attacking Trump: How about pit bull Vice-President Biden? You don't think so?
2. Then how about former mayor Daly of Chicago, Obama's hometown? You don't think so?
3. Then how about the Pope in Rome? You REALLY don't think so?
4. If this Trump attack on the Obama camp gets really out of hand, Obama can beg Rev. Wright, his famous pastor in Chicago, to attack Trump. You don't think so?
5. And of course, it is only a matter of time before Rev. Jesse Jackson---who, by the way, I have had a lot of respect for over the past years even though I disagree with some things he does and says---to start criticizing Trump.
6. Yes, it looks more and more like Obama's "friends" will be crawling out of the woodwork over the coming weeks to defend Obama against this tsunami tidal wave named Trump, some of whom are nationally well-known, while others who defend Obama will be people who we will have no idea who they are.
7. But the key, obvious question is this: Where is Obama? Why doesn't he defend himself against Trump's ranting and raving? What is he scared of? Is there something on Obama's long form birth certificate that Obama doesn't want us to see? It sure looks like it.
8. But, nope. It doesn't look like Obama will come out swinging to defend himself against Trump's attack any time soon.
9. Obama knows better. I believe that Obama will try to sit silently by in the White House and hope beyond hope that the Trump controversy will quietly fade away in a few weeks as the public tires of seeing Trump all over the tv talk show circuit.
10. But in my opinion, if Obama and his staff believe that this Trump controversy will soon go away and people will forget all about Trump, then I say that Obama and his staff are in for a big surprise, because I believe that Trump and his demand that Obama show the public his long form birth certificate will be in the public spotlight for a very long time, probably all the way through the very long 2012 presidential campaign.
11. Go, Donald! Even if the Pope in Rome orders you to leave Obama alone, please continue your courageous quest for the elusive Obama Holy Grail: Obama's long form birth certificate, if it even exists.
You just hit upon Obama's biggest hypocrisy. He wouldn't be able to get a drivers license with this jpg, factlack photos or DOH news releases. He'd still have to present a verifiable birth record and then Illinois' DMV (or wherever he was applying) would have to get the HI DOH to LEGALLY confirm his alleged COLB. Who does Obama have to thank for this requirement?? Himself. He voted for a Federal law in 2005 that requires this process, yet he clearly would not be able to pass with what he has presented.
Technically, Maya should be his half-sister, unless Lolo Soetoro is legally Barry's and Maya's father. It's kind of funny that the worst she can say is that Obama's lack of legal birth documentation is "unfortunate." Was it "unfortunate" when a story in the high school newspaper where she worked interviewed her and reported that Obama was born in Queen's Hospital ... not Kapiolani Hospital which is the official myth.

meanwhile, it really doesn’t matter. his father was not a citizen of the US on his birth, and therefore he cannot have natural born status... regardless where he was born.

According to Wikipedia, she and Barry have the same mother. Maya is married to an American citizen. However, I don’t give any weight to what she has to say about BO’s birth since she is 9 years younger, knows only what she’s been told, and (just guessing here) has seen only the documents that have been published for the public consumption.
