History at the predictable crossroads. (Almost at the buck-fifty yearmark, too.)

Before you consign third-psrty-challengers to the scrapheap, remember well whet the upstart GOP did to the Whigs in 1859....

Yes, but in their first venture, they lost with Freemont as Trump will, never to get enough of the Republicans to abandon whoever will win the primary for him to win a third party attempt.

Perot is the more apt comparison.

Now, your reference to a past upheavel may not be too far off if Obama then is elected with plurality only and his cohorts put us on the path to upheaval and chaos they are preparing plans to create and citing as a desirable catalyst and lubricate to reach the Open Society they desire.

Boehner missed the chance they had to go on the offensive — they stand little chance of holding 60 Senators in November 2012. 54 maybe, but 60 is too big a step.

I will be retired in that term with paid for property and little to buy but Alpo and fishing worms but I have seven grandchildren that will be sold into tax slavery by the Democrats and we shall see what the current generations between 18 and 65 do. I am betting they role over and insist they are busy on their iPads and Eco-Tours.
