We shouldn’t assume guilt here. One would hate to be wrong about that if the mother either had nothing to do with it or didn’t have a choice. I’m just pointing out some possibilities.
You’re right about not assuming that the mother or family members are guilty. Sometimes I *think out loud* when I shouldn’t. You wouldn’t have to “point out the possibilities” if we knew the truth from the beginning.
