Exactly -- right now the Dems still control the Senate and the Veto pen. We are NOT going to get what we want right now, and anyone who thinks we will is an idiot.
The goal right now is to get what we can -- make them move as far toward us as we can possibly squeeze. That has been the Dems strategy for decades -- take whatever they give you and move the bar in increments.

Nothing Obama wants can get pass without the GOp agreeing to it. Therefore the GOp has incredible power to force the dems to cave to thier ideas in exchange for allowing some of the dme ideas to pass.
