prayers lifted for you and your family, along with prayers for all the other active duty folks we know...we have two sons that we have offered to assist: one is enlisted and just married, and his brother deemed “nonessential” civil service (an electrical engineer who does R&D for the USAF) is still planning to get married in May. Am so glad my husband has a job not connected to the government and he will continue to get paid...
My friends who are stationed at Andrews in the squadrons that fly P and VP around are just clenching their jaws. This budget mess and fix will not be painless, for sure.

—You’re exactly right. POTUS wants his shutdown so he can try to gain political points from it, regardless of the effect that it has on everybody else. It’s insulting.
