Too funny in a way. Sorta...
I remember reading years, and I mean years ago about this upcoming, ya gotta watch this guy, he’s going to be the Democrats Ace one of these days, gonna take America by storm, unstoppable type article about John Edwards.
Nobody would be able to stop the guy according to the author. I believe it was sometime in the early Clinton years, and was published in the local rag. We haven’t taken the newspaper since about ‘94-’95, so it had to have been around then.
If they could have only busted Obama with that guy buddy from Chicago that disappeared...
There was an episode of one of those shows; Outer Limits or Twilight Zone where a politician was convinced by angels that his purpose in life was to save the world. He was on an airplane heading to a campaign visit - and the interloper convinced him that the plane was about to crash, and that crash would lead to the end of civilization because he would not be around to save humanity.
So - he was convinced he had to leap from the plane first. I know, it was an unlikely storyline, but the way it ended was pretty incredible.
Edwards reminded me so much, of that politician.
