People do have a right to bargain collectively. If a group of people decide by consensus that none of them will work except under terms which all would find agreeable, those people have the right to decline any employment not meeting those terms.

Unfortunately, the term "collective bargaining" is used to refer to the ability of some workers in a field to deny other workers or prospective workers the ability to bargain individually. I wish opponents of the rackets could better publicize that.

Exactly. If a group wants to say, “We won’t work” that is their private affair until they say I can’t work either; then the trouble will start. Y’all do whatever you want, just leave me the hell alone, or else.

Labor unions are just a step away from a Soviet Union.
