I just bought a Katadyn Filter myself. I got the Vario. Yes the Pocket is probably the best, but I cant see myself ever needing the capabilities of the Pocket.

How about a sweet water well, with a windmill pump, feeding a 1000 gallon storage tank - walking distance from my house??
Lifesaver bottle can “PURIFY” up to 4000 or 6000 Liters depending on the configuration - on the go and anywhere.
Drip into Katrina type water and you will get pure clean water.
$179 bucks for the 6000 liter version is cheap when you are thirsty.
Filters are a must, like Katadyn, but they are filters and will not deliver PURE water.

My thoughts on being ‘Prepped” is leaning to, not being stationary.
Laying in big supplies may be the first option but I’m planning on being as mobil,as necessary. Have a plan as were to meet, family and those few, you trust.
The Katadyn products fit these plans. The acquisition for replacement filters is essential! Education of living off the land and away from”NonPrepped” is my choice. H2O is worth more than GOLD at times like those.
