My wife is starting to get just as into it as I am. Through a mistake, I ended up with about 150 coupons for Easter candy. She’s been going around to every Rite Aid in the area and getting free Snickers Eggs with them. We’ve got hundreds of the things. She’s giving them as rewards to her students. (She’s a HS bio and chem teacher.)
I’ve always been a stockpiler by nature, but the prices are just unbelievable. I’ll never pay more than $.25 for bodywash again. And toothpaste? They’re giving away Colgate by the truckload EVERY month. Does ANYONE actually pay full price for it?? lol I don’t even use Colgate and I still have ended up with at least 10 tubes of it through various MM deals.
I’ve noticed the Colgate thing...are their sales sagging or something? lol I think I have 5 or 6 tubes by now, and that’s just in the last week. I’ve scored some great body wash...Olay Ribbons and whatnot. My daughter got a couple of Clean and Clear bodywashes last week from me, plus an Olay toner. There have been some great deals on haircare products like Pantene—daughter and I have wavy/curly hair (mine’s more wavy, hers is downright curly) and can’t use the stuff like Suave (dh and the younger kids can). Dh has some Gillette and Old Spice Body wash waiting for him when we move to Ohio, lol. Since we’ll be bouncing around visiting both sets of parents regularly once we get moved to Ohio, he can keep some at each location ;) I also got him a nearly free Oral B toothbrush today. He likes to forget those when he travels!
Right now, I only have Walgreens near me, but I think the town in Ohio we are moving to has CVS as well. Not sure about Rite Aid. Haven’t lived in a location with one of those for quite a while!
Yes, there’s a CVS just a few minutes from where my dh is staying right now (company rental house). I thought I had seen it during my short stay there over Christmas break.
I just noticed the closet Walgreens will be about 1/2 hour away up in Jackson, OH. :(
Don’t forget if you do long form on your taxes any thing you donate to a ‘approved charity’ men’s or women’s shelter is tax deductible! Just get a receipt from the shelter, and no one needs to know you got the items for free. :-)
I have a year’s supply of toothpaste...hubby will only use gel, and I don’t care as long as it does it’s job and cleans my teeth. We have each have our own bathrooms.
