Key-rist, Barskdale is a base that already has nukes so there are no reasons to import them to “fly them to the ME.”
Second, Barskadale is a base that is a clearing-house for the nuke inventory.

We do not fly nukes around as some sort of airborne alert.
Haven’t done so in decades.
Might fly a few for stockpile or maintenance, modification, upgrade (MMU) purposes, only.
Never as alert or on a training mission.
