If Sarah tries to run for President, the liberal media would come out in full force attacking her and her family. However, under a Republican President, she would make an awesome Energy Secretary and that is going to be needed after the stuff Obama and his minions have done. Grey Eagle

The Department of Energy needs to be MURDERED.. thereby eliminating the need for energy secretary..
As openers to department elimination..

She would sign such legislation, others may not..

RE :”MUST? I don’t think so. We don’t have monarchs here. We have elections. We have primaries. If Palin is strong enough in those, she will survive those and be tested to see if she’s stronger than her cult of personality supporters.

Maybe in normal times, but this country is in such a mess that we may have to shortcut some of those processes to save it. In fact we might have to force her to run to save the country, even if she decides not to.

You know, might even buy it if you listed reasons that she “should” be the nominee, but this “must” business that seems to be so popular amongst her supporters is like a cold shower. There is no annointed nominee. We’re going to work it out in the primaries, period.

The enthusiastic support for Palin comes from her willingness to fight back against the opposition and take zero crap from the liberal media. I don't know how hard is this for some people to understand, but conservatives have been waiting for a Republican to fight back since the days of Lee Atwater.

Nobody's coronating Palin and we realize that she has to go through the primary. However, given the fact that the GOP is so brain-dead stupid and would rather run another octogenarian white guy to lose gracefully to Obama instead of supporting the obvious candidate who can draw a sharp contrast and defeat him, means that Palin does have her work cut out because she first has to defeat the party bosses who will do everything to undercut her. Hence the support for her to be the nominee.

The ends justify the means?

Why I think she's the best candidate to oppose Obama:

1. EEE is right, first is her understanding of how energy is the key to our future economic growth and well being.
2. She believes in free market capitalism and its ability to be our engine of economic growth.
3. She believes government needs to be reined in for the market approach to work.
4. She understands that a strong moral compass is necessary to tie together with economic strength. She understands you don't wave the white flag to the libs on the social issues.
5. She believes in American exceptionalism and peace through strength (make our armed forces strong).
6. She is one of the few candidates that could wed the power of the GOP and the TEA party. This will be essential if Bambi is to be beat in 2012 (and he must be beat).
7. The candidate must fight back against democrat/media complex smears. She does this in spades.
8. The candidate must be capable of fund raising well. She clearly does this well.
9. The candidate must be able to energize the base and have motivated supporters, she does this better than any candidate.
10. Being photogenic helps in the age of tv. This is an advantage whether you like it or not. She looks better clubbing halibut than anyone in their best clothes.....:-)
11. The candidate should have a strategy to get their message out over the heads of standard media outlets. She has already shown she can do this.
12. The candidate must have the ability to run against the media and how they deceived America in 2008 by not vetting Bambi. She has moral standing in the media's complicity with Bambi, and has seen this up close and personal. She can run a very effective campaign against the media on this issue.
13. She has effective executive experience rather than being a senator or a congresscritter.
14. Her character and determination are strong, she has a compelling personal story, a strength which is one more great reason to support her.

There are a lot more reasons I consider her our best candidate, but this is a good beginning.

Great point-by-point list, there. Even Palin's detractors would have a hard time arguing with it.

For a long time now, I've imagined some sort of spreadsheet, with all of the commonly-agreed upon essential positives (and deadly negatives) for a presidential candidate, listed in columns across the top. I'd then insert each likely contender's name in the far left hand column and proceed to grade each, on their relative strengths and weaknesses.

It's my contention that Palin would rate higher than the rest of the pack, in such an analysis.

Once someone has run either in a primary or as a elected candidate they loose the fuse.

You mean like Reagan did in 1976, when he failed to win the nomination?

Okay, I give up. I’m voting for Palin as early as possible! Even if she doesn’t run I’ll write in her name! But I may change my mind.

You had to go back almost 3 1/2 decades to find that example. Our Nation has changed greatly since then. Just look at Obama and his radical ideology being elected to the Office. Today our nation is bored very easily, they have constantly seen Huckabee, Romney, and Palin on TV, it is not as exciting, not like a Trump or Christie who brings high energy. High energy = Many votes.

Let 'em all throw their hats in the ring, and we'll see who can really generate some excitement. Sarah will outdraw the lot of them, combined, by a factor of two to one.

No one you named, is drawing anything more than a trickle of interest and speculation about their possible candidacies - except Sarah Palin. Trump is generating nothing but noise. All eyes are on Sarah. She is the ONLY real conservative you named in that bunch.

She's also the only one who can (and will) have the support of the Tea Party, which is absolutely key to winning the White House for the next Republican.

There are honest detractors, but then most of the PDSers are just bad actors. Trust me, if that list were dangled in front of our "gang of twenty-four (less one pissant)", they would insult it for days and pout that she quit.
