A sitting member of congress is pretty much immune to prosecution unless kicked out. I think that is why she didn’t resign upon losing the speakership. I think this is why she has taken the huge hit to her ego and sucked it up... Staying in congress protects her from prosecution. Resigining opens her up to criminal charges. It isn’t as if she doesn’t know that we know what she did and what it means. She knows damn well we know what she did.
