Ed Harris has been cast as John McCain and Woody Harrelson as his adviser in HBO's upcoming TV movie, "Game Change," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Julianne Moore is to play Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Republican presidential nominee McCain's running mate in the 2008 U.S. election.

Harrelson's will play Steve Schmidt, McCain's senior campaign strategist, in the small-screen adaptation of the book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said Friday.

Sounds like this “movie” is going to have a lot of “gay” characters. I don’t know why the ‘RATS always try to portray conservatives as being a bunch of homosexuals.

A movie about a Presidential campaign. Can we say “obsessive”?

Ed Harris hasn’t done anything good since Apollo 13. Enemy at the Gates wasn’t too bad. At least he got wasted in that movie. He’s a big NARAL and Obama supporter.

John McCains advisor must have been a real POS if they have picked Woody Harrelson to play his role.

Maybe they should pick Whoopi Goldberg to play the Sarah Palin role.

LMAO

Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson has done nothing good since Natural Born Killers. The Larry Flint movie was ok but nothing to write home about. Cheers he played a doofus who was occasionally funny. I don’t know how he will be in this movie but there are millions of actors out there and they picked Woody????

Can we say boring? Like, really, really, really boring?

This so-called move is sure to be a FAIL. Who would watch a badly make movie about Sarah if they love her as we do, and who would watch a badly made movie about Sarah Palin when they can hate her live and in color.

I don’t think that would be the reason for it failing. I just don’t believe that people are interested in a campaign that passed. That is one reason why the 2000 movies on the election never did well. Why relive something that we just did a short time ago. Maybe 50 years from now a movie on the 2008 campaign might be interesting but not for us when we know all about it. Titanic never would have made the money it made had they showed it in 1916. Too close to the event. That is why that 9/11 movie failed too....why see a movie when you actually lived it. In 2100, a movie like 9/11 might be a giant hit.

Ed Harris is a great choice for McCain. He’s very capable of playing a totally deranged character.

Why would Hollywood make a movie about John McCain’s presidential run except to bash Palin? Just look at the characters playing the roles and you know what the agenda is going to be. Pure rubbish, but what else do you expect?

Zombieland wasn’t too bad a movie and he actually was ok in it.

I can usually look past some actors’ politics and enjoy the roles they play.

Why on earth would they cast a homely redhead to play a beautiful brunette?
