I don’t know if they are the best of all time, but they are definitely up there, and it’s hard for me to understand how they could make anyone’s list as overrated. IMO, most of their songwriting (musically, not necessarily lyrically) is far superior to that of the Beatles or the Rolling Stones.
I loved The Who with Entwistle, and Moon. But after they both died? Meh. What's left with Townshend and Daltry is like Norma Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard".
