Agreed on Dylan, Green Day, not on the others.
I’ll add two:
Dave Matthews Band. I do NOT get the appeal. Soft, whiny shit. He’s a good musician, but that doesn’t mean the SONGS are good.
The Grateful Dead. Unless you’re stoned, it’s just not that good.
Any jam band—such as DMB— is likely overrated.
Daves Matthews Band definitely overrated, IMO. All their music sounds the same.
I always wondered how Dave Matthews sells out multiple shows. I’ve NEVER liked his music. Same with Sting. I liked the song “Russians” when it came out, but if you listen to the lyrics now, he sounds like a fool.
Completely agree about Dave Matthews Band. I have a friend who is almost obsessed with that band (he sees them about 3-4 times a year). They are good musicians, but his singing is atrocious IMO.
Not to mention that Dave Matthews is personally a hot-head, arrogant little punk. He’s as mean as Gary Busey who we once kicked out of our 4 star hotel and tore up the bill. Was worth it to kick his abusive butt out.
When Dave travels he checks in as Richard Tator! No lie.
Some celeberties actually get creative with the names we list on the rooms.
