I think you are right, the lies of the media still trump internet truth; because for some reason a talking head, or an army of talking MSNBCBS heads generate trust among over half the voters - as opposed to what one reads on the internet, where one is required to compare and make critical choices about what and whom to believe.

That's why they are called 'sheeple'. Obama could walk down the ramp of Air Force I with his privates hanging out and the MSM would convince most of the voters it never happened.

Worse than that! They would declare what a bold display of leadership that was. Then we would see Biden and the other Democrats with their Daily Ding-Dong Display. Barney Frank would be in Heaven and the homo vote would be locked up as tight (pun) as the black vote.
