OBAMA MEDIA GROUP: THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING
The Constitution Club ^ | 03-23-11 | The Region Rat

THE HYPOCRISY OF THE “MAINSTREAM” MEDIA KNOWS NO BOUNDS

In a recent post entitled Left Wing Coalition: Economic Terrorism, I wrote of a planned attack on JP Morgan Chase, Wall Street, and the American mortgage industry.

As Business Insider reports it: “Caught on Tape: Former SEIU Official Reveals Secret Plan to Destroy JP Morgan, Crash the Stockmarket, and Redistribute Wealth in America.”

The former SEIU official, Stephen Lerner, who was ousted from the union last year for spending millions of dollars of the union’s money pursuing a similar plan said:

“We have an entire economy that is built on debt and banks, so the question is, what would happen if we organized homeowners en masse to do a mortgage strike? If we get half a million people to agree, it would literally cause a new financial crisis for the banks. Not for us; we would be doing quite well because we wouldn’t be paying anything. So I think we need a very simple strategy: How do we bring down the stock market? How do we bring down their bonuses? How do we interfere with their ability to be rich?”

With the exception of the Washington Post, why isn’t the “mainstream” media covering the story of an avowed leftist whose life ambition at the moment is to bring down the economy of the United States of America?

Then of course there’s Libya. Not only has the Obama Media Group failed to criticize Barrack Obama to any extent for his decision to take military action against Libya, many “journalists” on the left have actually thrown their support behind it.

MSNBC’s hypocrites extraordinaire Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow actually defended (praised) Obama’s decision on their respective shows:

Maddow trotted out the “reluctant warrior” line, saying: “He very clearly did not want there to be another military action in the world. He is very open about his reluctance. He wants everybody to know how reluctant he was.”

Schultz blathered: “I think the President of the United States, Barack Obama, deserves the benefit of the doubt and our support. This is all about people in Libya wanting the simplicity of freedom.” And that’s different from what the people of Iraq wanted how?

And over at ABC? Our pal, Diane Sawyer, a vocal critic of President Bush during the Iraq war, (who did get Congressional approval prior to taking action.) ignored the lack of Congressional approval for the Libya action, choosing instead to focus on her fascination with Hillary Clinton’s “decisive role.”

The Rat has written many times that the hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds. Nowhere is it more apparent than with the Obama Media Group.

And these idiots can’t understand why they’ve lost the respect of the American people.

ABC “News” had reports cheerleading the war. They actually showed a wounded villager ‘injured’ going out to greet the down plane. NO mention that locals were shot in the rescue and put in the hospital.

Also no report on who these rebels are and how helping them is in the best interest of the U.S.

The maroon forgot to devise a next step in his plan, which doesn’t need a plan (economy already falling). What would he do, after his government-employed middle class falls from political involvement with the rotten economy? Hide? Shut up, perhaps?

Interesting, when George Bush was Pres, on Nightline, Ted Koppel did this ridiculous reading off all the men killed in the Iraq war once it reached a milestone....

Now why aren’t they doing the same for Afghanistan?

And oil’s still up, BTW. How will Lerner’s comrades continue to be politically active after spending their paychecks on gas and snacks in tourist traps this summer?

On one level it’s pathetic. Lerner has been canned. He has no budget, no troops to command. The union beast has been pithed, we’re just watching the post-mortem spasms. He might as well be ranting on a soapbox on Speaker’s Corner.

Furthermore, Obama would never permit this. In our new corporatist economy, the Wall Street barons are intertwined with government as never before. If someone were to threaten that, you’d see dogs, horses and water cannon appear out of nowhere.

That said, I have to admit this guy’s not wrong about everything...

Yes, he would...and so would Edward Bernays.

This guy aptly points out why the banks should never lend any money to low-lifes. And he doesn’t even realize it.

Has anyone else noticed the MSM’s covering for Obama is actually getting worse?

I didn’t think it was possible, but the reporting is now so forced and patently unbelievable that even if I hadn’t been politically “awakened” years ago (i.e. if I were still a mindless dolt listening to the MSM) I think I would now call BS on almost every single news report. How can there still be people who don’t see this? Does MSM reporting just seem more ridiculous to me; or is it actually getting even more absurd lately?

The article stated that he was probably fired for pouring out the SEIU shekels on organizing his hare-brained plot. I’ve read rumblings about just how far in the fiscal hole SEIU and the rest of the union gang actually is. They’ll go broke before we do. They’ve been desperate for Obama and the Dems to bail out their own pension funds but now that the Republicans hold the House that is no longer possible.

Madison was the high-water mark. The problem with the purple-shirt goons and the kiddie black-bandana crowd is that they only show up in force when paid. Methinks the ol’ strike fund cupboard has naught but a crumb too small for a mouse.

Rush, Hannity and the gang have been having a field day laughing at the way the MSM has been making itself nauseous trying to spin this.

Who wrote the article about how Obama is just so cerebral we can’t appreciate his celestial genius here?

Madison was the high-water mark.

Interesting take. Between the coalitions of collectives which make up the 'rat party, I suspect the rent-a-mob and useful idiots will be funded in many different ways. They will get the most bang (amplified by their propagandists) for their buck and the bucks they've demanded from the rest of us.

Holy Moly, what a bank run that would cause.

What a depression it would cause.

Pure short sighted stupidity.

Their paychecks would bounce.

You mean the one that Rush has been having fun with lately. I don’t know offhand, but that’s the kind of stuff I’m talking about.

It was absurd back in Nov 2008; but now it’s almost like they’re forcing themselves to say this stuff. As in testifying in court you swear to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth”, the MSM used to get away mostly with lies of omission, and carefully worded leftist “shading” of events; but it seems more & more like they’ve moved on to outright lies and fantasy. I know, they did all that before; it just seems more obvious and forced lately. I wasn’t sure if it was my imagination or not.

I disagree. Madison, WI backfired on them big-time, image-wise. As we shall see in 2012. The unions have burnt up the last of their historic goodwill and political capital. More money spent on more threatening gestures will only dig their graves deeper. They know this. That’s why Obama ordered the DNC and Organizing For America to back off just a few days after putting his oar in.

That’s also why this loon was booted from SEIU.
