A Dayton TV news website reports that Dayton NAACP President Derrick Foward disagrees with the mandated adjustments: “The NAACP does not support individuals failing a test and then having the opportunity to be gainfully employed. If you lower the score for any group of people, you’re not getting the best qualified people for the job.”

Foward gets it, sort of. Why not raise the required scores for all people if you are looking for the best people, not just leave the scores where they are?

It would be difficult to staff up adequately if the standards were higher. Stronger-minded people tend not to be employed as door-busting, dog-shooting, ticket-writing, thugs. Dumb, insecure gang-mentality union types are the order of the day.
