Our dog was all weirded out here in Washington state. But it was earlier in the day with 45 mph winds buffeting the house and branches hitting the roof and deck! Probably no relation!

There is a geologist in California that tries to predict EQ based on the number of “missing dog” ads in the paper! (Used to be on Art Bell a lot years ago!)

Something whacky.... I went to the PNW webicorders (seismographs viewable on the web) to see what they saw with this quake. Almost all of them showed the point when it hit. But on the seimograph for Mt. Rainier at Camp Shurman, about 2.5 hours ahead of the 8.8, there was a swarm of tremors recorded. I looked at ALL of the webicorders listed, and there was NOTHING at ANY of them, only Camp Shurman.

Here's the address if you want to see.

Washington State has an Advisory, doesn’t it?

So your dog was also giving you an Advisory.
