An interesting side note. Did you all know that the Earned Income Tax Credit is available to striking union members? Apparently, if you’re a union worker and are getting strike benefits, you are eligible to soak the taxpayers (big surprise) even more.
We’re paying for their protests...one way or another.

Taxable earned income also includes:
Wages, salaries, and tips;
Union strike benefits;
Long-term disability benefits received prior to minimum retirement age;
Net earnings from self-employment.
Makes perfect sense. Tax break rewards for union extortion. From now on we should refer to the US gov’t as La Cosa Nostra.
