I agree. While people around here blow off poll after poll, focus group after focus group, it's very very difficult to find any poll, anywhere, that has her competitive with Obama. She does badly among younger women and indies.

Now, I'm not saying those groups are the be-all and end-all of politics, but at some point, you can't write off every group and still win. I've expressed here that in my travels and talks to Tea Party groups around the country (much to my surprise) I don't find a lot of excitement for Palin. Certainly it's not among the kinds of county regulars who walk the streets and hand out literature.

So far, I haven't found any ONE candidate who energizes those groups . . . but that should be troubling.

Not that it’s the case for Palin, but Colin Powell strung people along for quite a while so he could sell books.

"I didn't see any 'serious' POTUS candidates there"

I rest my point. A serious candidate would have been there, even for an in-and-out stop to support WI. I don't think serious candidates can pass this off as a "state issue," and even if it was, the PRINCIPLE is so national in scope that it demands comment by our would-be leaders.

>>All human societies are not the same, or we would be Saudi Arabia or Nazi Germany.<<

And remember, even Nazi Germany was not always the Nazi Germany we now knot it to be. It continued to digress. For those that did not see the writing on the wall, however, things went very badly for them. The smart Jews left Germany while there was still time. I’ll leave it at that.

>>Problems are always too big for a human solution<<

No they are not. My job is solving problems. I do it all the time.

I guess there are serious candidates then by your logic.

I hear ya LS.

While I may agree with Palin on most issues, she doesn’t light a fire in me anymore. Part of it is her inability to quickly articulate her positions in a way that doesn’t sound contrived. I find myself tensing up and almost sitting on the edge of the sofa when she is interviewed for fear that she is going to say something well....stupid. It brings back strong memories of how I felt every time GWB spoke.

As far as the polls go, you are dead on. If you are going to explain away every poll that shows her unpopularity among those except for the hard right, then you are setting yourself up for major disappointment. It’s really no different than what happened with McCain vs. Obama. The polls continued to show Obama kicking his @ss but we didn’t want to believe them. Well guess what, they were right all along.

So then Herman Cain would be the only candidate that you can support.

yeah she should have been begging for money like the other POTUS candidates instead of making it and spending in on 2010 races so she can self fund her campaign. I mean who wants someone that isn’t a moocher running for POTUS.....

She’s not going to run. If she does I will support her, but I don’t think so because she is very effective right where she is now, making good money, cares for her family, and knows that after the mess barry leaves, no one is going to be able to get us out of it, including her.

wow that talking point has made the rounds pretty quick....So now we should be afraid of Palin speaking because she may just may mess up...not that she has since her time as gov but she might mess up somewhere somehow. she has been perfect over the last two years but she may, might, slim possibility mess up.....yeah a Mitt could say he was for abortion before he was against it....

You people need better talking points...
