Obama has finally taken a stand on the ongoing carnage in Libya. After nine days of silence, he has finally, and forcefully, condemned the "outrageous" crackdown by Libyan security forces on protesters. He also said that a unified international response was forming. Whew.
Translation: America will stand firmly behind the United Nations. We will wait and see what the global consensus and political ramifications are before taking sides against a murderous thug.

“....taking sides against a murderous thug”
It’s amazing how transparent he is. That said, his response to Libya, silence, is what he should have done with Egypt. The only place he should be and should have been more forceful is Iran. IMHO.
Another 3 am call went to the answering machine.
After posting I started wondering who I can really trust on foreign policy. I want to trust people with a record of caring about this country and the institutions which have made it great. That eliminates every single democrat and liberal. But it also eliminates the Globalist Neo-cons like the Bushes. So maybe people like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan. They’ve just said too many things that are completely off the wall and wacky to trust them.
I have general paradigm that informs my opinion on foreign affairs but I don’t have the experience and knowledge to really know what we should do in a given situation.
