The article clearly said that this is not an all inclusive list. And no individual is bound to the legacy of their ancestors. This is just my opinion. There are so many more positive traits in each people group.
This is not the world God created or intended. It is a fallen sin sick world.
Re-read Genesis. Dividing up by language is a punishment for disobeying God by building the Tower of Babel. That narrowed the gene pool within these groups leading to them sharing similar physical characteristics. The term “race” is very Darwinian, suggesting that people with higher levels of melanin in their skin are less evolved from the ape than those with less melanin.
We are all of the same race: the human race.
We all share the same skin color: melanin, just in differing amounts.
Just because someone from Japan has more fatty tissue around their eye doesn't inherently make them more “mathematical” than one without the higher level of fat around their eyes.
Some people live in a racist bubble, others live on a sphere of amazing races. Yes, imperfect and often corrupt. Still full of potential in the eyes of God.
It's not a difficult question at all. Just read chapter 11 of the book of Genesis.
Assigning specific characteristics to the various races is the definition of racist.
A total straw man argument. The most virulent racist that ever lived didn't did give a fig about how people ate their chicken soup. It was the missionary soup that he objected to
OK, I'm being a little facetious here, but the point is valid. Nobody cares about how others live their private lives; but it is not petty things that separate cultures. Details like female circumcision, tribal loyalties versus national loyalties versus globalism. Whether I keep what I produce or have it forcibly taken from me by the state. whether I should be forced to approve of something that I consider the height of immorality, or to pay for the murder of a child. These are the types of things that separate us. And to a large degree (certainly there are numerous excpetions), the way people feel about such things can be related statistically to their ethnic groups
And, of course, it's mostly about money. Those that don't have it want yours, whether they live in the same country as you do, or not.
Should everyone be judged as an individual? Absolutely!!
But I am not going to judge people by their own standards. Why would I take the effort to learn what they are? I will judge them by mine, which I hope, and try to ensure, are in accordance with God's standards.
But if I were to judge by their standards, whoever they might be, what would be the point of having my own?
I may be a little stereotypical, however the common fruits of “ethnic” groups is hard to deny over time. What draws us to travel the world outside our own neighborhood? Rich new experiences hosted by very different people groups that have different gifts to give the world.
I learned this in academia, so it must be true!
/s
America is a huge laboratory where we can bring all these talents and traits together, assimilating to the Judeo-Christian concepts that helped define our form of government and the concept of God given rights of man, blessing each other and the world.
I can tell that academia did not imprison your mind. You log in name suits you.
LOL. BTW, a great book that I discovered while temporarily incarcerated in academia is Stereotype Accuracy.
Turns out most stereotypes are true. Surprise, surprise.
Such a steaming load of crap!
Humans are a very young and very genetically homologous group.
The major differences between human populations are attributable to cultural differences not genetic differences.
Our differences are cultural not racial. Race is human invention with no scientific basis.
The differences between groups of people are mostly cultural, not racial. Your views are incredibly simplistic. For a greater understanding of culture and the causes and effects of same, read the books of Thomas Sowell. Oh and BTW, no not all cultures are created different but equal. Some cultures have obvious advantages over others. It is silly to pretend otherwise.
They are each distinctions without differences.
