well— I have promised to be as honest as I can without betraying Herman— so - here it goes..
At that time- I was still a huge fan of Palin...and still am— not a blind fan- but a fan. (btw— huge diff between fan and someone who believes in and can vouch for someone’s character).
I feared a few things.
I voted for him when he ran for US Senate here in GA... he lost...against Isakson...many Georgians regret that vote for him instead of Herman...
I didn’t want to see him lose again...call it the mom in me— Herman is a friend...I don’t want to see him hurt..or disappointed...in any way..was afraid he wasn’t ready for such a high profile run without more national recognition.
Herman and I also had a deep but sincere disagreement on a certain issue.....he has since seen the error in his ways (LOL!!) He still supports that same issue—but changes have been made to that issue to make me able to now support it(I believe those changes were made due to our conversation)...nice to know he listens to ordinary folks...
I also did not like someone he mentioned as a possible cabinet appointee....
now— may I ask what your were thinking as possibilities on my remark?
Just asking possibilities that might have crossed your mind— I won’t take them as assumptions or accusations...
but I am curious at to what my comment might have lead to in folks minds....

Not having personal knownledge of either Herman or Palin I cannot vouch for eithers charactor except form what I have seen and heard on TV and Radio. I can say that I am a fan of both. Any and all humans have issues so no one is perfect.
From the radio when I have listened to Herman, I have found him to be honorable and good person. I would not worry about a presidential run because he has done so much in his life already and defeat is not something that I feel woudld affect him.
I would like to see both Cain and Palin run, I think they would make the race more honest.
I would like to see them on the same ticket, in either order.
Truthfully I was at first thinking - What like Palin, he would be treated like she was during the campaign.
All conservatives are treated like that if they are in the lead in the primaries or if they are the nominie.
Herman can handle the pressure.
Well— I have talked to someone who has direct contact with both Palin, and Newt...
Direct in a very very BIG way....and I believe that Newt is attempting to sabotage Palin from not just within, but deep within...through someone paid to be her confidant...
I pray for her....Newt is SCUM in my eye...
I don’t want to see her fun for Pres....but I do not want to see her “raped” in such a manner as I see and believe to be happening...
But I have to believe she knows what these folks are up to— and hope she has a plan to let it blow up in their faces...
I just don’t want Palin to run because I think she would be unable to get anything done...She would become evil incarnate in America if she were elected...you think they were harsh on Bush with the vitriol...wow— what they would do to her....

I was afraid folks would think that I meant that I likded Palin more.... or that I wanted Palin cause I was a chick...etc etc...
If Herman can handle his FRIENDS(say a determined and boisterous debater like myself) giving him hell— he can sure handle them!
Sounds good but only time will tell. I do not have much faith in our fellow citizens after the last prez race.

I want to see them both run. The Left and Dems will attack any and all who run. If the Republicain wins then it will not matter who it is (unless they are a total RINO) because the winner will be crucified period. The left is unhinged and insane.
If he is a wonderful man with great character he is therefore immediately disqualified to run for American political office!

Imagine the impact of this ‘plausible’ scenario on the GOP POTUS primary. What if Sarah Palin decides not to run for POTUS, and in the news conference announcing such decision, she also tells the world that she has decided to back the candidacy of Herman Cain for President.

Well— let’s see—
this post was inspired by a FORMER fellow FREEPer attempting to sabotage Herman Cain’s run for Presidency...with rumor and innuendo with no source...
but rather than just merely address the flat out dishonest attack of Herman — I felt I should just bare all.
See— I could have just dealt with the rumor..or I could just sit around posting rah-rah’s and pom-poms...letting folks think I was a hired goon for Herman like some of Mitt’s little bots...
But instead of just sitting around commenting on this or that— I shared my personal journey from a mere citizen who has met Herman— to a mere citizen and fellow FREEPer who happens to personally know a possible candidate for the US Presidency...
Now— maybe there are a lot of FREEPers who PERSONALLY know folks who have created an exploratory committee to run for President.....and if so— I invite them to share their thoughts too....
But I do believe it is a rare opportunity to PERSONALLY know someone (not just met, campaigned for, or voted for) that may very well sit in the oval office as Commander and Chief....
SO— I felt I could give a glimpse into this possible candidate that you won’t find in the MSM...and share it with fellow FREEPers...
So— the point of my post is let fellow FREEPers see a possible Presidential candidate through the eyes of a fellow FREEPer...
and to let folks know that if they have questions about him- I may be able to answer those questions, or get answers— It make him a little more accessible to ya’ll than going through the MSM, or campaign workers...

Many thanks to my favorite redhead for sharing and making me aware of Mr. Cain several years ago. I too have one of those CDs....he does have a great voice! Upon his latest announcement to “explore” a Presidential campaign, I knew right away he was one who’d be at the top my my list if given the opportunity to cast a vote for him, only second to Duncan Hunter. Allen West is another whom I will be watching very closely. Given the choice of many conservatives, we should not settle for the media-annointed RINOs whos names are being tossed around as potential 2012 candidates.

This about HERMAN— not me...the only thing I have to offer is that I had the honor of knowing this man BEFORE he decided to do talk radio or run for President...
I could do some self-aggrandizing though. if it would make you feel more justified in your need to assume things...
I have a LOT more I could share about a folks a tad more known than Herman...I could share more about my radio show...or ties to those who advise folks like Newt and Palin...
