There are two courts. The legal one, which has let us down and shows no sign of doing otherwise, and the court of public opinion. Every poll on the issue shows we’re making significant inroads in that one, and winning slowly but surely. If you want no part of the effort to publicize the issue and continue winning hearts and minds, that’s your choice. Others have chosen otherwise.
My fear is simply that the effort will detract from dealing with political situation as it is. In other words, the best troops will be distracted while the agenda continues. Obama has already shown what he thinks of "public opinion."
The next 7 days are going to be momentous. Judge Vinson has reiterated that he has found Obamacare unconstitutional and has ordered the administration to file an appeal with the 11th Circuit, or the SCOTUS within 7 days. Hollister v Soetoro is in conference and at the very least will not be dismissed without comment, as it was earlier. Perhaps, in an epic surprise, the Judicial branch will prove more suggestible by "public opinion" than either the Executive, or Legislative.
The courts are not going to help us with the eligibility issue. They have made that abundantly clear. What Vinson is being put through for his ruling re: healthcare isn’t pretty either, but thankfully he’s sticking to his guns.
As for public opinion. It’s not so much what Obama thinks of it as how it affects others. His approval #s have to come down in order to get any political traction against him at all, and that goes for 2012 also. Acquainting people with the fraud he’s perpetrated is one way to undermine his popularity. For that alone, it’s well worth the time and effort.
Ms. jamese reminds a little about Charlie Sheen or this guy: http://www.google.com/images?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&q=libyan+president&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&sa=X&ei=wTlxTdWgKcqitgfN06nuDg&ved=0CEYQsAQ&biw=1032&bih=466!!!
Your images are plausible, but they don’t match my mental pic. I’m seeing a somewhat effete Michael Moore. It would be interesting to see which of our ideas is closest to the truth.
