Yes, but all the BS doesn't add up to squat. These "entitlement" welfare programs (Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security) are the 300 pound gorilla.
Seniors should make alternative plans. Maybe AMAC ("The Conservative Alternative to AARP") will come up with an alternative, private health plan for seniors, something with high deductibles and copays. IOW, something that is more market oriented.
Some seniors are already opting out of Social Security and Medicare. Relying on welfare is not a safe way to go.
