LAKE LUZERNE -- One of North America's largest Muslim organizations wants to build a summer camp in the Adirondacks on 114 acres it recently acquired.

The Islamic Circle of North America, a Muslim advocacy group based in New York City, hopes to raise money to develop a camp for children and families of all religions on land donated to it last year, Muhammad Rahman, ICNA's secretary general, said in an interview Thursday.snip

a doctor named Sayeeda Tahera Jafar transferred the deed on the 114.4-acre property to the ICNA last week. Word about the donation started moving around this North Country town of no more than 3,000 people on Thursday.

"It's kind of their business, and it's probably a good thing," Steve Mackey, co-owner of Luzerne Market, said of the ICNA's plans. "We're Americans, a melting pot." snip

On Valentine's Day, several hundred Americans protested an ICNA fundraiser in California, citing controversial and anti-American statements made by two of the event's speakers,

Paul Newman started a camp for very, very sick children, at Lake Luzerne, many years ago:

Now another camp in Lake Luzerne will be owned by a group that makes anti-American statements. :frown:

Muzzie Summer Camp: honor killings, stonings, whippings and maybe a suicide bombing or two thrown in - sounds like lots of fun. Can I send my kids?

Don’t get too comfy, Islamists. If Muslims start kicking the USA out of their countries, as the imams are preaching in all these uprisings, we should reciprocate. Why would Muslims want to stay in the land of “the Great Satan” anyway?

They want to come to the west, yet they don’t want to be tainted by the west.

Mr. Mackey ought to read up on the history of Nazi Bundist camps. These are just Islamist Bundist camps. Their purpose is the same - to train little Bundists into big terrorist infiltrators. There's no melting-pot goin' on, Steve.

I always respected Newman, even though he is a lib, because he “walks the walk”. The profits from his food products all go to charity, and he doesn’t demand that the rest of us be forced to buy them. The typical lib wants charity to be forcibly taken from all of us.

I wonder, who will be keeping an eye on the new Camp Jihadi planned for the neighborhood?

Let’s hope we get a LEADER in the White House in 2014.

Mr. Mackey seems like a very naive man.

I always liked him, and love that he started a camp for the ill children, and he also gave $250,000 to Catholic Relief Services, because they were quick at giving help to the needy.

HOWEVER, I don’t buy his products, because he also gave to liberal charities (possibly even Planned Parenthood).
