A Permanent Majority? YWC Responds to The Guardian
Youth for Western Civilization ^ | February 13, 2011 | William L. Houston

There is a scurrilious new article in The Guardian that attacks YWC and the "nativist" shift of the Republican Party.

This is nothing more the usual rehash of Democratic fantasies and talking points. After reading this garbage, you would assume that Republicans are recovering from crippling losses in the 2010 midterm elections, instead of having won their biggest victory at the polls since the 1930s.

Daniel Denvir trots out the discredited mantra that Republicans are "alienating" the Hispanic vote and the growing Hispanic vote dooms the GOP unless it embraces "comprehensive immigration reform" which is wildly unpopular with the conservative base which, unlike the mainstream media and illegal aliens, actually votes Republican.

House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith debunked this tissue of lies in an Op-Ed in the Washington Post last November.

Here are the facts:

- In 2010, 38 percent of Hispanics voted for House Republican candidates, which is more than the 30 percent in 2006 and 29 percent in 2008 when George W. Bush was pushing amnesty for illegal aliens and John McCain was running for the president on an amnesty platform.

How is that possible? If Republicans are alienating the Hispanic vote, as the Democrats continue to insist, then why are Hispanics voting more Republican and for candidates that are stronger on border security than their predecessors? . . .

Democrats are like a broken calculator. They can add, but they can't subtract.

Many good statistical points. This is why we must stop amnesty. The demographics of voting Hispanics is not as damaging to the GOP as our opposition likes to make it. It will be though someday if we don’t get a handle on immigration now.

They make out like the only vote anyone running for office need to be concern about is, cartering to the Hispanic vote. If the Hispanic vote were so great, Jan Brewer would of never been re-elected.This would of been one state where Hispanics could of shown see what happens when you do not vote for what we want, you will be next, this did not happen. Are not the Hispanics trying to get Brewer recalled ?
