Whatever people want to say, the reality is that it was the first time in our history where the color of one's skin was the the most important deciding factor for the presidency.

Our next president will have to be a woman and after that, gay, transgender or someone with a shade of skin color that other than white.

We live in a country where this is now considered progress - a day that as you correctly stated will live in infamy.

Anyone who dares to speak out in support of meritocracy in 2012 and beyond rather than this perverse militant egalitarianism will be labeled a hateful racist or bigot.
