The Supreme Military Council met with Mubarak and as I have said time and time again it is NOT going to pan out the way Obama wants it. There was false rumors stating Mubarak was going to resign, its not true, the truth is Mubarak is very ill, his health has been stressed and the Army is fed up. (They leaked the false report to the media to see who they carried the message to in the mobs hierarchy. They are going to declare Martial Law, its going to get ugly.
The Supreme Military council during a meeting yesterday stated in one voice, We will not be ordered around by the Obama regime and we will not hand over Egypt to the bastards he supports. If they think Mubarak is a tyrant they have seen nothing.

H*LL NO! NOT AS LONG AS WE LIVE AND BREATHE! (Whoops! That's all about Egypt...)
“I also do not understand the title either. An inside straight generally means a long shot, or a bad bet. A general rule in Draw Poker is: Do not draw on an inside straight.
[snip]
So the title might mean the Tea Party Nation has little chance of achieving something. But what it is I do not know. The title does not make sense to me.”
Although the title probably could have been better, I believe what it’s trying to convey is that the Tea Party unexpectedly had some unlikely good fortune - in other words it successfully drew the inside straight (”has”) against the odds.
A poor way of stating that 0 is looking like a complete fool given the unfolding events in Egypt. In general anything bad that happens to 0 is a good thing. I hope he fails, and he seems to be doing well at it. ;-)
0 as President has been an expert at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
“It is twice baked!”
Obama’s half-baked pronouncements needed a twice-baked response.
Thanks for the explanation of an inside straight, which I’ve heard repeatedly, but never actually understood until your explanation (I obviously spend too much time on FR and too little time playing poker).
The actual title of the post was: “Tea Party Nation has the inside straight on Egypt” It then says “Kathleen Gose at Tea Party Nation writes:” and proceeds to provide all this “insider” information about what’s going on.
I’m wondering whether the blogger didn’t simply mean that TPN (meaning Kathleen Gose at TPN) has the “inside dope” or “inside information” on what’s really going on. I don’t see how the blogger could have really intended to say “inside straight” unless she didn’t know the meaning of the term, i.e., that it meant the opposite of what she thought it did.
If Islam can cause problems in European countries where it is a tiny minority, one can only imagine what it will do where it is a great majority. Democracy in a country dominated by vampires produces a vampire democracy.
I think his background is more of hammer and sickle, watch what he cuts off...
To my knowledge, there has only been ONE reasonably free, Democratic country in North Africa or the Middle East in the past 1500 years or so (excluding Israel).
That country was Lebanon, where they had a coalition government of Christians and Muslims. I say WAS, because the Muslims revolted, Syria intervened, and the Democracy in Lebanon vanished.
Islam is incapable of building a Democracy, because the religion of Mohammed denies the existence of free will or free choice. It’s all about submission to a completely arbitrary and irrational god, or his human representatives on earth. Islam and freedom are simply incompatible.
Yep.
If the truth will set you free, what can one say of a "religion" that enslaves you?
Thanks. That must be it.
I don't think too many people today know what an Inside Straight is. And there are several Poker terms that have found their way into the vernacular and lost some of their original meaning. For instance "passing the buck". And Poker itself is changing all the time. I have no idea what the terms "The River" and "The Turn" mean in Texas Holdem because I have pretty much lost interest in Poker.
