The Supreme Military Council met with Mubarak and as I have said time and time again it is NOT going to pan out the way Obama wants it. There was false rumors stating Mubarak was going to resign, its not true, the truth is Mubarak is very ill, his health has been stressed and the Army is fed up. (They leaked the false report to the media to see who they carried the message to in the mobs hierarchy. They are going to declare Martial Law, its going to get ugly.
The Supreme Military council during a meeting yesterday stated in one voice, We will not be ordered around by the Obama regime and we will not hand over Egypt to the bastards he supports. If they think Mubarak is a tyrant they have seen nothing.

Yeah. I know. Potato.
the problemis these idiots who haven’t worked with Middle Eastern countries/citizen have no clue how different they really are than the USA. Take for example the reporters who got their asses handed to them, guess what Skippy? Not everyone treats the press like the USA does. Obama has insulted a dictator and an Arab warrior, he will rue this day.

President Obama on Egypt
Posted by Jesse Lee on February 10, 2011 at 07:59 PM EST
Moments ago, the President released the statement below:
The Egyptian people have been told that there was a transition of authority, but it is not yet clear that this transition is immediate, meaningful or sufficient. Too many Egyptians remain unconvinced that the government is serious about a genuine transition to democracy, and it is the responsibility of the government to speak clearly to the Egyptian people and the world. The Egyptian government must put forward a credible, concrete and unequivocal path toward genuine democracy, and they have not yet seized that opportunity.
As we have said from the beginning of this unrest, the future of Egypt will be determined by the Egyptian people. But the United States has also been clear that we stand for a set of core principles. We believe that the universal rights of the Egyptian people must be respected, and their aspirations must be met. We believe that this transition must immediately demonstrate irreversible political change, and a negotiated path to democracy. To that end, we believe that the emergency law should be lifted. We believe that meaningful negotiations with the broad opposition and Egyptian civil society should address the key questions confronting Egypts future: protecting the fundamental rights of all citizens; revising the Constitution and other laws to demonstrate irreversible change; and jointly developing a clear roadmap to elections that are free and fair.
We therefore urge the Egyptian government to move swiftly to explain the changes that have been made, and to spell out in clear and unambiguous language the step by step process that will lead to democracy and the representative government that the Egyptian people seek. Going forward, it will be essential that the universal rights of the Egyptian people be respected. There must be restraint by all parties. Violence must be forsaken. It is imperative that the government not respond to the aspirations of their people with repression or brutality. The voices of the Egyptian people must be heard.
The Egyptian people have made it clear that there is no going back to the way things were: Egypt has changed, and its future is in the hands of the people. Those who have exercised their right to peaceful assembly represent the greatness of the Egyptian people, and are broadly representative of Egyptian society. We have seen young and old, rich and poor, Muslim and Christian join together, and earn the respect of the world through their non-violent calls for change. In that effort, young people have been at the forefront, and a new generation has emerged. They have made it clear that Egypt must reflect their hopes, fulfill their highest aspirations, and tap their boundless potential. In these difficult times, I know that the Egyptian people will persevere, and they must know that they will continue to have a friend in the United States of America.

Sure would be nice to see Code Pink operatives suck on the business end of an Egyptian .50 cal.
What are ‘universal rights?’ Where did this phrase come from recently? Is it another leftist term like social justice?
What does this have to do with The Tea Party?
Sorta but more global in its application.
I can't wait until the adults come back in 2012. Can we survive until then or will Obama set up the Apocalypse in his quest for world community organizing? Obama, Clapper and Panetta today made very dangerous statements. . May God help us all. Pray for America and Israel. Prepare. . .
It’s just 0bami being confused again. I’m sure he means “inalienable rights endowed by our creator”, right???
/sarcasm
The Supreme Military council during a meeting yesterday stated in one voice, We will not be ordered around by the 0bama regime and we will not hand over Egypt to the bastards he supports. If they think Mubarak is a tyrant they have seen nothing.
. . . . Check out article at link.
Thanks, Cicero.
If the article is correct—I read it all—this is not a hot potato: It is twice baked!
So any guesses who they selected to plant the rumor? Didn't the CIA director say he got his information like everybody else from the media?
He makes Harry Truman or Jerry Ford, ON THEIR FIRST DAYS AS PRESIDENT, look like George Washington or Ronald Reagan on their final day.
Thanks.
Did Obama really make this public statement??? It sounds like Chicago huff-n-puff politics, but hasn’t he and his enablers got the message Mubarak was sending?
Be careful what you organize.
I also do not understand the title either. An inside straight generally means a long shot, or a bad bet. A general rule in Draw Poker is: Do not draw on an inside straight. This is because there is only a 9% chance of completing it. For instance if you are dealt the 2, 3, 10, 5, 6 of mixed suits and discard the 10 hoping to draw a 4 you only have a 9% chance of completing your hand. With an open end straight such as 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 you could discard the 10 as there us a 17% chance of completing your hand drawing either an Ace or 6 to complete.
So the title might mean the Tea Party Nation has little chance of achieving something. But what it is I do not know. The title does not make sense to me.
It’s a United Nations thing:
Where did this phrase come from recently?
It's not recent...
President Obama Speaks Out on Iran Violence December 28, 2009
The United States will always bear witness for and stand by those in Iran, and around the world, who seek to exercise their universal human rights.
It's just been used more 'recently'.
Is it another leftist term like social justice?
As for myself I would say...
A 1998 sign up and you don't know about this stuff?
